After going to the country Sister Ann became determined to do something to help those she had seen who had been let down and abandoned by so many. The answer lay in the building of the girl's school in Nyamata. By her second visit she was told by Inyumba that there was land available and allowing planning for the institution to begin in earnest. To begin accumulating the money to build the school Sister Ann requested the aid of Barry Hynes the chairman of the board at the Paraclete Center. With Hynes's help plans for the school were created allowing the idea of the school to become a reality. Sister Ann made a third trip to Rwanda in February of 2004 and entered the final stages of planning for the school. While committed to opening the Nyamata school Sister Ann has not abandoned her duties at the Paraclete center, staying focused on helping children everywhere spanning from the streets of South Boston to a rural village halfway across the world. << 4 of 4 |
