Many of us have heard of the name Marie Curie. For some of us it symbolizes perseverance, hope, and intelligence. But put simply, Marie was just an ordinary person— like many of us today—who took the extra step and helped change the world for the better.
Marie’s family was not rich. In fact, they struggled financially and her parents did everything they could to give all five of their children the best education. Marie was born in a time where women’s rights was a new topic that people were still unsure of. Sometimes, it seems as though she was born into the world just for the purpose of proving what women can do.
Marie had lived her life to its fullest, and through the highs and lows, no matter what happened she never gave up. The path she took was a rough one, but Marie uncovered many mysteries of the scientific world along the way. She was phenomenal, indescribable, beyond brilliant—and we will never forget her.
