The community colleges in his area received $400,000 from the Federal Government to ensure that the programs are up-to-date and provide more financial aid for students who truly need it, since most students do not receive enough to provide for college. He also worked to encourage more students to consider working in the nursing program and help non-traditional students pursuit their field of interest.
