Reverend Daniel J. Finn

“What we do in church has to be lived on the street.”

Dan Finn has been the pastor of 900 member St. Mark Parish in Dorchester, MA for 15 years. He also serves as the Administrator of St Peter’s Parish also in Dorchester. Reverend Finn was born in Kanterk, Ireland and immigrated to the United States at the age of 18. At 18 he had no idea that he would one day become a priest, serving the spiritual, social, and cultural needs of Dorchester residents from 20 different nations, including those from Ireland, Haiti, Vietnam, Cape Verde and Uganda. He has been an ordained priest since 1972. As pastor of St. Mark’s Parish Father Finn has expanded the number of outreach programs sponsored by St Mark Parish including citizenship classes, financial help to the poor, ESOL classes, programs for the aged and sick, a bereavement group and more.

Barney Carney

Barney is a software professional and a lifelong resident of Dorchester, Massachusetts. Mr. Carney has worked professionally in Latin America, where he also led service trips to impoverished urban areas. He is a graduate of Harvard University, and is married to Mary Kickham Carney. They have four children, and the family is actively involved at Blessed Mother Teresa Roman Catholic Parish, and the Community Music Center of Boston.

Alyce J. Lee

Alyce Lee Is a founding trustee and the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of Boston Medical Center (BMC). Boston Medical Center is a 639 bed Academic Medical Center and the largest safety net hospital in New England. Ms. Lee’s prior employment has included serving as Chief of Staff to Mayor Thomas M. Menino. In this capacity Ms. Lee directed the operations of the Mayor’s Office including chairing the Mayor’s cabinet. In 2004, Alyce returned to City Hall to direct the City’s preparation for the Democratic National Convention in Boston. In this role like that of Chief of Staff, she oversaw the City’s departments and the Mayor’s Office Departments including Scheduling, Intergovernmental Relations, Security, and Constituent Services. Prior to her work with the City of Boston, Alyce served as Executive Director of the Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation where she oversaw the rehabilitation/construction and management of 600 units of low income family housing in Dorchester, Massachusetts. She also successfully restructured the non profit corporation’s finances, returning it to profitability. Alyce is a graduate of Wellesley College and lives with her husband, Patrick Lee, and their four daughters in Milton, Massachusetts.

Tuong Van Nguyen

Van Nguyen is a certified psychiatrist residing in Malden, Massachusetts. He earned his masters degree at Saigon Medical School in Vietnam and went on to receive his PhD in psychopharmacology at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada. Nguyen currently has a private psychiatry practice in Malden and is on the psychiatrist staff at the MCI-Cedar Junction. He has received a few awards including the Canadian Medical Research Foundation Travel Award n 1986 and the Mysell Award from Harvard Medical School in 1997.

Marianna Hannigan

Marianna Hannigan, treasurer of FOSAP, received her bachelor’s degree from Regis College and Master’s of Social Work from Boston College. She is currently a marriage coordinator, lector, and Eucharistic minister at Saint Mark Church in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
