A legendary Boston Latin history teacher, Cate Arnold drives the school’s environmental awareness and engages students as active citizens in the fight to preserve the planet. Arnold inspires students through her teaching, her founding of BLS Youth Climate Action Network (YouthCAN), and the creation of the Global Climate Change Summit for Youth and Educators, an annual regional conference on the environment at MIT.
Alicja is a 14 year old 8th grader creating a Seevak project for the first time. Born in Poland, she immigrated to America with her family as a baby. Alicja is the oldest of three children and has a leadership position in her family. She is going to be therapist when she grows up and enjoys learning about human development. Alicja adores music, books, and chocolate.
Aubrey is 13 and in the eighth grade at Boston Latin School. She likes math, history, and English. When she grows up, she hopes to be a pediatrician because she likes working with kids and helping people. Outside of school, she likes to watch movies and hang out with friends.
Lyubov is in 8th grade. When she grows- up she wants to be a doctor but has not decided what kind yet. She is interested in painting, drawing, music, photography and volleyball. She is also interested in science and technology.
