Using new media to create awareness about world issues, the Jubilee Project, founded by three youths who determined that they could engage social media to bring about good. They create YouTube videos that seek to spread awareness in order to alleviate suffering, whether among deaf children in the US or victims of the earthquake in Haiti, through simple acts of kindness.
Ivanna is a sophomore and this is her second year participating in the Seevak competition. She is an aspiring artist who someday hopes to pursue a career in graphic designing. She plans to continue doing Seevak projects because she wants to seize any opportunities that will expose her to designing.
First-year Seevaker Katherine is a sophomore at Boston Latin School. She has an exuberant personality and enjoys hugging every friend she runs into. She is no amateur when it comes to using Dreamweaver, Photoshop, or other programs of the like.
A BLS sophomore, Kimberly is participating in the Seevak competition for her second year. She enjoys listening to music, mainly rap, and reading. Her bucket list goal is to one day open her own charity or organization to help those in need.
