A celebrated nun, Mother Theresa built much of her career in the slums of Calcutta, India. Known for her charity work and her devotion to the poor, she formed the international Missionaries of Charity in 1950. Advocating for the poor and sick, she created more than 500 hospices in more than 100 nations.

Jane is an eighth grader interested in international studies. She joined her friends Stephanie and Aliza to compete in the Seevak competition because they all believe that Mother Teresa was a truly accomplished and amazing woman who is generous to all. She supported by contributing to the research and visual design of the website.
Stephanie is a Class V student. She loves playing the guitar, eating, watching TV, and surfing the web. Her favorite class is Math and her least favorite is ELA.
